Restorative Practices - Marg Thorsborne Session Two

Session two:
Recovered the Social Discipline window in a variety of ways.

I have decided that my ideal place to sit is within the restorative "top right" box, using authoritative, reintegrative processes. However; my default box is definately the more "punitive" top left box.

Often this default behavior on my part is a result of external influences and these are not necessarily a negative. I regularly have different internal thoughts, but will act externally in a way that is dictated by the circumstances, the people concerned or the event, and are often contrary to my personal belief systems.

I would like to work on using the ocurrances of this as a sign post, a signal to myself to respond in a different way. This will take lots of awareness and persistence to bring about a more restorative approach to my dealings with children, colleagues and parents.
