Using Google Forms - One Leaders' attempts to incorporate e-learning to contribute to leadership decisions.

We have been trialling the use of Google Docs in many ways at Vardon School.
If you are interested in using these you can click here to go to the Google archived page for support.

Firstly, Setting up Google Docs. :
At School Level:
  • set up agendas for our leadership team meetings as well as to take the  minutes
  • take minutes at teacher meetings
  • reviewing school policies - people can insert comments and ideas while DP pulls all thinking together and presents the final reviewed document for ratification
At Board Level:
Beginning to review and ratify policy (all done wherever we are, home or work!)
Potential uses:
  • minutes
  • agendas
  • Portfolio Report sharing.

Using Google Forms:

We have used google forms to
  • survey our school community about their ideas for an updated website. We got a really high percentage of uptake which gave us good data to move forward with.
  • Survey staff and get feedback from their attendance at Learning@schools in January
  • Survey staff about other professional knowledge prior to staff attending as well as during the PDL
Of course, collecting the data is the easy part, but, what will we do with the information we collect and how will it change our practice?
