Studying part time and working full time is extremely difficult. I have had to re-organise my entire life! Time management has been and will continue to be a crucial factor in my continued study.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to reflect intensively on my deliberate acts of leadership. Realising that my practice does actually align with contemporary research has been really heartening! But more than that - having the chance to be exposed to issues around the educational sector has been enlightening!
Having never been interested in politics has mainly been the result of a complete lack of understanding. Now that I have been exposed to some learning about the politics surrounding educational policy... there is no stopping my desire to 'have my say' and the many discussions i have with colleagues and family have become incredibly political and opinionated! Of course, it certainly helps (unfortunately) that we are entering a period of time that educational policy and effective pedagogy and teaching practice has been ransacked by the politicians of the day!
Further fascination came from the variety of lenses my co-participants brought with them to our discussions. There are so many differnet contexts in which educational leadership is relevant to! the multiplicity of perspectives has been quite daunting!
