How do you get blog comments?

“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” – Alan Watts

I have had 47 blog views in the last 24 hours, and yet, dishearteningly, not one person has left a comment. Obviously something interested people enough to take them to my blog , but... my writing can't have warranted a comment. Why is this? I want to share things that are meaningful to me, but I also want feedback.

The following are some points that I will be working on to improve my blog posts.

  1. To begin with the title I choose needs to be engaging!
  2. Make my opinion known. Take a stand and explore my own values and beliefs in depth.
  3. I could ask for help... real help I suggest would be more beneficial.
  4. Include visuals for those of us who like the words to be broken up a bit!
  5. I will respond to any comment someone makes!!! Promise (to myself)

Over the next 2 terms, as I take on the role of principal, I'd like comments about what I am or am not doing right; make suggestions, give me reassurance if applicable, redirect me and offer advice.

I will be making regular posts, reflecting on the interesting, noteworthy happenings. If you read this blog and you are or were a leader in education (yes even you class teachers are leaders in education), then you'll know about being a principal.  Even if you've never been one, you've seen this role modelled around you the whole time you've been in education. I'd like you to share your perspective with me.

What makes a "good" principal? What actions did they undertake that have been the most helpful for you personally?

What makes a "bad" principal? What actions did they undertake that you would never like to see again?

ANY comments would be appreciated... Thanks
