Making meaningful connections

This phrase has coincidentally popped up a lot for me recently, both in my working life and in my learning life. It is something we strive for in our learners at school everyday, and is something that is also crucial for us as adult learners (or lifelong learners).

Being able to make meaningful  connections "takes time to think about what we are learning", synthesise this learning in order to make meaningful connections with our personal world views.

It seems that age is not a factor for this "connection making" to occur, but deep learning is
essential.

  2. Meaningful Connections are also a strategy that Ministry are keen to promote in terms of spreading 'best practice'. The Regional Director spoke about the importance of clusters and working collaboratively between/across schools to improve outcomes for all learners.
