Here are a few events that have ocurred in my first two weeks;
- appointed a fixed term staff member
- recieved a resignation (this was in the pipe line prior to me starting)
- In discussions with Reading Recovery to replace staff member temporarily
- A staff member is away for a week's leave overseas at a conference
- overseen the completion of school wide painting maintenance project
- Mobilisation meeting for the SNUP project - digging works begun
- Liaised with Board property person and architect to look at plans for pending classroom refurb project. Teachers selected the colours for flooring and walls
- School finance officer has gone on sick leave, leaving me solely responsible for NOVO pay!
- another staff member who is currently on sick leave, fell and broke pelvis -
- ACC is now initiating pay discussions (A first for our school)
- two children at school in wheelchairs as a result of non-school accidents - ACC now initiating support (A first for our school)
- A new high needs behaviour student arrived MOE Behaviour Intervention in place
- School wide book fair - culminating in a dress up
- Serious behaviour incident last week saw me faciilate a full blown restorative conference with three different families and their children
- One staff member finishing to go on maternity leave...
- another Staff member announced that she is pregnant!
- Slippery wet decks!
AND in the middle of all this, I had an assignment to submit for my second to last Master's paper!
Whew what a two weeks this has been!
